About the Project

With our brand new project, we want to create a digital space for international visibility and cooperation opportunities. Furthermore, we want to support the active recruitment of research talent! 

The project ThinkGlobal aims to initiate this process by developing a digital international research marketing campaign for our research consortium as one of RUBs’ core research focus. The project is also intended to serve as a door opener for international postdocs to advance their careers.


ThinkGlobal offers international scientists a tailor-made entry into the complex and challenging research field of our research consortium. This is ensured through a hands-on, customized website, an interactive exchange via coordinated social media channels (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube), networking via digital events as well as through travel grants for talent acquisition.


The project runs from May 2021 until September 2022 and is conducted by RUB Research School in close cooperation with our research consortium as well as additional support by experts from various university institutions. RUB Research School is the campus-wide graduate school offering advising, qualification and career preparation, events and funding programs for Early Career Researchers.


ThinkGlobal is one of eight concepts that won in the ideas competition for international research marketing in 2021 organized by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Research in Germany initiative by German Academic Exchange Service  (DAAD) and is funded with 36.700 € for one year.
